Day 1: The start of the adventure

My trek began at dawn, heart pounding and pack on my shoulders. The route promised not only physical tests but also personal encounters with the immensity of nature. Those first steps were a rhythm of expectation and nerves as I made my way into the green of the valleys.

Day 2: Among mountains and silences

The solitude of the mountains becomes a constant companion. Demanding climbs alternated with descents that put my knees to the test. Every summit conquered was a personal triumph, every valley a new discovery. The silences were so deep that I could hear my own breathing, keeping time with the wind.

Day 3: Nature at its finest

This day gave me one of the most beautiful sights of all: sunrise from the Urriellu refuge. The sunlight washing over the rock spires is an image burned into my memory. The majesty of the surroundings kept reminding me why I had chosen this challenge.

Day 4: Pushing limits and reflection

The route grew more challenging with every stretch, but with each step my determination grew too. The long hours of walking were also a space for reflection, to understand that our limits are often in our own minds.

Day 5: Encounters along the way

Throughout the trip, the occasional encounters with other hikers brought shared stories and valuable advice. Even though I was travelling solo, these brief human connections gave the journey a real warmth.

Day 6: Saying goodbye

The final day dawned with a bittersweet taste. The anticipation of completing the challenge mixed with the sadness of leaving those landscapes behind. As I crossed the imaginary line that marked the end of my route, I felt a deep gratitude for everything I had lived.

The Anillo de Picos de Europa is more than a hiking route; it's a journey of self-discovery, of meeting nature in its purest state and of pushing past your own limits. This adventure has left an indelible mark on my life, reminding me that sometimes, to find the extraordinary, you simply have to dare to take the first step.
